Job Summary:The Head of Regulatory Compliance and Government Affairs is responsible for managing the company’s compliance with regulatory requirements at both local and national levels, particularly those related to LGU and PEZA operations. This role involves strategic leadership in managing permits, licenses, and government interactions, while fostering strong relationships with key government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee and ensure timely acquisition, renewal, and monitoring of all business permits, licenses, and certificates from LGUs, PEZA, and other relevant agencies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for government regulatory bodies (e.g., PEZA, BIR, DOLE, SEC, DENR, DTI).
Monitor and interpret relevant government laws, ordinances, and regulations that impact the company.
Lead internal compliance audits and implement corrective actions.
Supervise and mentor junior staff involved in compliance and government relations.
Handle escalations during regulatory inspections or inquiries.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with government offices and industry partners.
Develop and implement internal compliance procedures and policy frameworks.
KPIs:Permit and License Renewal Rate: Ensure 100% on-time renewal of all necessary permits and licenses.
Compliance Audit Score: Achieve a minimum score of 95% in internal compliance audits.
Regulatory Inspection Success Rate: Successfully resolve 100% of regulatory inspections without major findings.
Government Relationship Index: Maintain a high satisfaction score from government stakeholders through regular engagement and feedback.
Staff Development: Achieve a 90% satisfaction rate in staff development and training programs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Legal Management, Business, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a compliance or government affairs role, including leadership experience.In-depth knowledge of PEZA regulations, LGU requirements, and other Philippine regulatory frameworks.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities.
