Job Summary:

The Regulatory Compliance Manager (PEZA) is a full-time on-site role responsible for ensuring that the company's operations comply with Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) regulations and other relevant legal requirements. The role involves regular monitoring, audit preparations, compliance reporting, and liaising with government agencies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing regulatory reports, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring the company's compliance with various government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Prepare and submit reportorial documents to SEC, PEZA, and BIR in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Secretary and company lawyers to ensure corporate and legal documents support business transactions.
  • Liaise with government agencies, consultants, and lawyers on tax and compliance matters.
  1. Licensing and Permits:
  • Prepare and assist in the application and renewal of various permits, licenses, and certifications in compliance with government regulations (e.g., LGU, PEZA, SEC, and BIR).
  1. Policy Development and Risk Assessments:
  • Review and provide advice to the business on applicable contracts required for operations.
  • Keep senior management informed of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company.
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance issues, providing sound recommendations for resolution and/or process improvement.
  1. Reporting and Compliance Records:
  • Monitor and ensure timely submission of statutory reports and other requirements.
  • Maintain a database of corporate documents.
  • Ensure the company is up to date with licensing requirements.
  1. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, responding to internal customer escalations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting controls.
  • Treat sensitive or confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in compliance or a related field.
  • Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of taxes and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, setting priorities and seeing projects through to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple functions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work in Cebu City (No relocation assistance provided).
