About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team at our office in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR department.

The HR Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to our HR function, contributing to the smooth running of our people-related processes and helping to create a positive workplace environment. This role is instrumental in ensuring that our HR initiatives are effectively implemented and that our employees receive the support they need.

Key responsibilities
  1. Providing administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling, filing, data entry and general office management
  2. Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding process, including screening applications, coordinating interviews and preparing new employee documentation
  3. Maintaining and updating employee records and HR databases in accordance with company policies and data protection regulations
  4. Supporting the coordination of company events, training programmes and employee engagement activities
  5. Assisting with the preparation of HR reports and documents as required by management
  6. Responding to employee enquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and general HR matters
  7. Supporting payroll and benefits administration activities
  8. Assisting with employee relations matters and documentation as directed by senior HR staff
  9. Contributing to the development and maintenance of HR processes and procedures to improve efficiency
What we're looking for
  1. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is preferred
  2. Proven experience in an HR administrative or HR assistant role, or equivalent experience in a similar support function
  3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Filipino is advantageous
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management systems, or a willingness to learn
  6. A solid understanding of HR principles, employment law and confidentiality requirements
  7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive information and data
  8. Friendly, professional demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  9. Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also managing tasks independently
  10. Knowledge of Philippine labour laws and regulations is beneficial
