About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team at our office in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR department.The HR Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to our HR function, contributing to the smooth running of our people-related processes and helping to create a positive workplace environment. This role is instrumental in ensuring that our HR initiatives are effectively implemented and that our employees receive the support they need.
Key responsibilities- Providing administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling, filing, data entry and general office management
- Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding process, including screening applications, coordinating interviews and preparing new employee documentation
- Maintaining and updating employee records and HR databases in accordance with company policies and data protection regulations
- Supporting the coordination of company events, training programmes and employee engagement activities
- Assisting with the preparation of HR reports and documents as required by management
- Responding to employee enquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and general HR matters
- Supporting payroll and benefits administration activities
- Assisting with employee relations matters and documentation as directed by senior HR staff
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of HR processes and procedures to improve efficiency
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in an HR administrative or HR assistant role, or equivalent experience in a similar support function
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Filipino is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management systems, or a willingness to learn
- A solid understanding of HR principles, employment law and confidentiality requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive information and data
- Friendly, professional demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also managing tasks independently
- Knowledge of Philippine labour laws and regulations is beneficial
- Statutory government benefits (Pag-ibig, SSS, and Philhealth)
- 13th month
- 5VL and 5SL after a year of service
