About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Radio Anchor to join our telecommunications broadcasting team in Bohol, Central Visayas. You will play a crucial role in delivering compelling radio content and building audience engagement across our platform.

As a Radio Anchor, you will be the voice of our station, responsible for presenting programmes, conducting interviews, and maintaining the high-quality broadcast standards that our listeners expect. Your role is integral to our station's success and audience loyalty, serving as the primary connection between our content and the community we serve.

Key responsibilities

Present and host radio programmes with professionalism, clarity and engaging delivery to attract and maintain listener interest
Conduct interviews with guests, celebrities, experts and community members in a compelling and conversational manner
Read news bulletins, weather reports, traffic updates and other broadcast announcements with accuracy and appropriate emphasis
Prepare scripts, talking points and content summaries prior to broadcasts to ensure smooth programme execution
Interact with listeners through phone calls, messages and social media platforms to create community engagement and build audience loyalty
Collaborate with producers, engineers and newsroom staff to coordinate programme flow and technical operations
Develop content ideas and contribute to programming decisions that reflect audience interests and station objectives
Attend promotional events, station functions and community engagements to represent the station and build audience relationships

What we're looking for

Excellent vocal delivery with clear diction, proper pronunciation and the ability to modulate tone and pace for different types of content
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and conduct meaningful conversations
Proven experience as a Radio Anchor, Radio Presenter or similar broadcasting role in a professional radio environment
Quick thinking and adaptability to handle live broadcasting situations, including technical difficulties and unexpected programme changes
Knowledge of current events, news and popular culture relevant to local and regional audiences
Creative thinking and content development capabilities to contribute fresh ideas and maintain listener engagement
Fluency in English and Tagalog; proficiency in local dialects such as Cebuano would be advantageous
