Purchasing Specialist

Specific duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies for Direct Material Commodities (electronic parts, wire harnesses, cables, terminals, connectors); analyze and monitor the actual execution of the sourcing strategy.

• Accountable for the preparation, conclusion, and execution of contracts with suppliers to cover supply risks and optimize results on aspects like supply volume and flexibility, product specifications, quality and reliability levels, and pricing; settle and justify all commercial/pricing agreements.
• Maintain a close relationship with the supplier’s global account manager to ensure the proper deployment of ZAMA requirements at the supplier and act as the focal point for any escalations toward the supplier.
• Accountable for regular supplier performance and business reviews.
• Ensure the involvement of purchasing and suppliers in product creation processes.

• Report/manage performance measurements for Direct Material Commodities and drive improvement projects to meet business requirements and objectives.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with cross-functional departments (PMO, SQE, Planning, Engineering).
• Develop and negotiate price, payment terms, and supply contracts.
• Process purchase requisitions, create and submit purchase orders, and request quotations from suppliers.

Personal Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in purchasing, business, engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with highly technical sourcing
• Extensive contract negotiation experience
• Strong analytical skills (e.g., cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
• Ability to successfully interact with and positively influence all levels within the organization, including executive levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project
• Understanding of SAP System
