Purchasing assistant

Job Qualifications:

1. Graduate of BS Accountancy and/or any business related course

Required Skills:

1. Strong communication skills and the willingness to make phone calls, emails, and other communications with clients
2. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
3. Soft-spoken and good conversationalist
4. Ability to multi task

Required Experience:

1. Preferably with 1-year experience in Purchasing and Logistics
2. Experience in manufacturing firm and knowledgeable in ISO standards

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for sourcing, bidding, selection, and negotiation of purchase orders to get the best purchase package in terms of price, quality, payment terms, and delivery from vendors and suppliers.
2. Reviewing, comparing, and analyzing contracts, products, and services to be purchased/procured.
3. Maintains enough accredited vendor lists that will support the company’s needs.
4. Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual purchased reports.
5. Performs timely requisition of items/ services and ensures prompt delivery of products based on deadlines.
6. Works closely with Finance/ Accounting department on the purchase order, the release of payment, and liquidation.
7. Works closely with the department representatives on handling purchase requests.
8. Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, and anything related to procurement and maintaining good supplier relations.
9. Supports and closely coordinates with purchasing requirements of other departments ensuring the best value for goods and services.

Support Purchasing officer and performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
