Responsibilities
As a key part of the virtual support team, you will:
- Answer incoming phone calls from patients and assist with appointment scheduling
- Manage the daily appointment calendar and coordinate with the clinical team
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain accurate patient records using ModMed (EHR) and Outlook
- Ensure patient privacy, proper documentation, and adherence to scheduling protocols
- Provide clear, friendly, and proactive communication throughout the patient journey
Future responsibilities may also include:
- Contacting patients prior to appointments to gather insurance details and ensure all information is ready for check-in
- ModMed (EHR)
- Outlook
- Internal phone and scheduling systems
- Experience in patient-facing roles, especially in medical scheduling or front desk settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and healthcare workflows
- Clear and professional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Dependable and organized with a high attention to detail
