The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance of cloud accounting files and the preparation of comprehensive financial reports. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their compliance with Australian tax requirements (GST, ATO, Superannuation) while providing high-level advisory support.
What You’ll Do- Compliance & Reporting: Manage monthly/quarterly management accounts, month-end journals, and balance sheet reconciliations (Fixed Assets, Lease Liabilities, GST, and Income Tax).
- Tax & Lodgement: Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Taxable Payment Annual Reports (TPAR), and both individual and company tax returns.
- Payroll Excellence: Handle payroll processing, treasury services, Superannuation (including SGC Statements), and annual STP reconciliations.
- Advisory & Projects: Conduct catch-up bookkeeping, review prior-period financials, and prepare breakeven analysis or Special Purpose Financial Statements.
- Client Engagement: Maintain professional direct contact with clients to resolve queries and provide proactive solutions.
- Licensed CPA: Must have an active PRC license.
- Experience: At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience. Prior experience with Australian clients/AU tax law is highly preferred.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with cloud accounting software and quick to adapt to new technology.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English skills—you’ll be talking directly to clients!
- Soft Skills: You are highly organized, able to meet deadlines without hand-holding, and possess a "client-first" mindset.
- Supportive team culture within the Business Advisory department.
