Accounting Officer (Bookkeeping & Financial Statement)

Job Summary: The Accounting Officer/Specialist (Bookkeeping) will take responsibility in assuring that the financial statements are prepared accurately and timely in accordance with PFRS/IFRS. As someone in a senior role, the employee must also act to assist the Accounting Officer in leading the accounting associate/s and analysts to ensure that the Division’s duties are carried out while mentoring junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor accurate and timely recording and invoicing of sales, purchases and expenses
• Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures are performed/observed by relevant teams/departments
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Tax Specialist for BIR and LGU compliance
• Ensure that the management's financial assertions are properly reflected in the accounting system/records/general and subsidiary ledger (existence/occurrence, completeness, accuracy, valuation and allocation, rights and obligations, presentation & disclosure)
• Assist the Accounting Officer in ensuring that current company Standard Operating Procedures remain up to date, relevant and effective for current company processes and goals and to mitigate current business risks
• Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports pulled from the accounting system to support the Management Accounting, Treasury, Tax Divisions and other Departments as necessary
• Perform and lead ad-hoc tasks/projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• At least three years of experience in Accounting/Finance
• Has experience in leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Experience with accounting systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Applications
• Keen attention to details and strong analytical skills
• Can work on-site 5 days/week in Mandaluyong City
• Can communicate effectively and efficiently
