Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP), a leading renewable energy company in the Philippines specializing in high-quality and cost-effective solar energy and energy efficiency solutions, is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Accounting Officer to join our growing team.
The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining and updating financial records, including general ledgers and daily transaction entries, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date. In this role, they will record and monitor financial transactions, reconcile bank statements and company accounts, and support accounts payable and receivable processes.The Accounting Officer will also assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support audit requirements. Additionally, they are expected to organize and maintain financial documents and perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by their immediate head.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, reports, and general ledgers
- Record daily financial transactions and update accounting systems
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Organize and maintain financial documents and files
- Handle other tasks as assigned by the immediate head
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Adept computer skills and proficiency using programs like QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Advanced math skills to keep accurate records and supervise the bookkeeping of an organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact regularly with clients regarding sensitive topics like billing and payments
- Excellent organization skills for maintaining clear, accurate and meticulous financial records for a company
- Attention to detail for ensuring the accuracy of a company’s records and invoices
- Multitasking in order to successfully handle multiple accounts, invoices and payments at various stages of execution
- Excellent efficiency for handling any accounting issues quickly with minimal interference
- Graduate of BS Accountancy
