The Tax and Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting end-to-end accounting, tax compliance, payroll preparation, and audit coordination. The role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory requirements, and proper maintenance of accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:

 A.  Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and assist in filing BIR returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, etc.)
  • Prepare and monitor BIR Forms 2307, 2306, and related tax documents
  • Reconcile VAT and withholding tax accounts
  • Assist in tax audits, assessments, and compliance reviews
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations
 B.  Accounting Functions
  1. Payables
  • Process invoices, payments, and check vouchers
  • Prepare journal entries and record transactions in the accounting system (e.g., Xero)
  • Ensure accuracy of supplier invoices and PO matching
  • Prepare BIR Form 2307 / 2306 and ensure proper filing
  1. Receivables
  • Prepare billing invoices and journal entries
  • Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding receivables
  • Prepare AR aging reports and collection status updates
  • Coordinate with clients on billing concerns
 C.  Payroll Support
  • Prepare initial payroll computation (salaries, deductions, contributions)
  • Compute SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax
  • Maintain payroll schedules and employee records
  • Assist in year-end payroll reports (e.g., BIR Form 2316)
 D.  Audit & Compliance
  • Act as a point of contact for auditors (internal/external)
  • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents
  • Assist in resolving audit findings
  • Support SEC, BIR, and LGU compliance requirements
  • Assist in business registrations, renewals, and closures

Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
  • CPA is an advantage (preferred but not required)
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting/tax
  • Experience in BIR compliance, payroll, and audit support
  • Knowledge of Xero or similar accounting systems is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting reports
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Organized and able to handle multiple tasks
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • Willing to report to MISNet's office three (3) times a week
  • Willing to start immediately
