Furniture Draftsman

The Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers. This role ensures accuracy, compliance with standards, and clear documentation to support project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed 2D and/or 3D technical drawings using CAD software
• Interpret sketches, specifications, and instructions from engineers, architects, or designers
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes and site conditions
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and company guidelines
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams to clarify design requirements
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project files
• Assist in quantity take-offs and basic calculations when required
• Support site teams by providing as-built drawings and technical documentation
• Willing to travel to sites out of town

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• 1-2 years of proven experience as a Draftsman Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic understanding of engineering, architectural, or construction principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Technical drawing and drafting skills
• Knowledge on drafting standards and symbols
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Problem solving skills and adaptability
