FUTNITURE MAKER

The Furniture Maker is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing furniture based on approved designs, drawings, and specifications. This role requires skilled craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing furniture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and interpret shop drawings, sketches, and specifications
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Apply finishes such a sanding, staining, painting, varnishing, or laminating
• Assemble hardware, fittings, and accessories
• Repair, modify, or refurbish existing furniture when required
• Ensure finished products meet quality, design, and durability standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies
• Coordinate with supervisors, designers, or draftsmen for clarifications and revisions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Furniture Making
• Vocational/ technical training in carpentry, furniture making, or a related field
• 1-2 years proven experience as a furniture maker, carpenter, or similar roles
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and measurements
• Knowledge of woodworking materials, finishes, and techniques
• Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Proficiency in hand tools and power tools
• Understanding of furniture construction methods
• Time management and ability to meet production deadlines
• Physical stamina and ability to handle mateirals and equipment
• Willing to be trained Preferrably male
