SAFETY OFFICER (Shipyard) – Hiring

We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer to join our team in a shipyard environment. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety standards and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.

Qualifications

College graduate in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Technology, Environmental Science, or other related fields
Must have Safety Officer certification (BOSH / SO2 or higher) recognized by the Department of Labor and Employment
At least 1–3 years experience in safety operations, preferably in shipyard, construction, or heavy industry
Knowledge of Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)
Strong communication and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures
Conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments
Ensure workers follow PPE and shipyard safety protocols
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare reports
Coordinate safety training and awareness programs
Maintain safety documentation and regulatory compliance

Preferred

Experience working in shipyard, marine, or industrial projects
Training in First Aid, Fire Safety, and Emergency Response
Salary depends on Experience.
