About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented and dedicated Purchasing Officer to join our team in our Malabon City office. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods, materials, and services at competitive prices and quality standards, optimizing our procurement processes and ensuring the timely delivery of resources to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Sourcing
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
  • Request and analyze quotations, bids, or proposals from vendors.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best for the company
  • Purchase Order Management
  • Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders.
  • Monitor order status, ensure timely delivery, and follow up on delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with departments to confirm specifications and delivery requirements.
  • Inventory Coordination
  • Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Assist in monitoring usage patterns and adjust purchase plans accordingly.
  • Supplier Management
  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Documentation and Compliance
  • Ensure all procurement records are properly documented and filed.
  • Comply with internal controls and Company policies on procurement.
  • Assist in audits or compliance checks related to purchasing activities.
  • Cost Control and Analysis
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through bulk purchasing, negotiations, or supplier substitutions.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing metrics, budgets, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to generate insights and recommendations
  • Familiarity with relevant procurement regulations and best practices
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
