The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for creating exceptional marketing materials as directed by the Marketing Department. The role focuses on producing about 25 email campaigns per month, with additional responsibilities including developing flyers, magazine ads, social media posts, video ads, and more for two travel agency brands.

The position requires extensive use of creative and licensed image libraries, and oversight of the entire preparation, production, and design process.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following but are not meant to be all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Marketing Material Creation: Design and produce high-quality marketing materials, including approximately 25 email campaigns per month.
  • Content Development: Create engaging flyers, magazine ads, social media posts, video ads, and other promotional materials for two travel agency brands.
  • Creative Process Management: Oversee the preparation, production, and design of Brand imagery, print collateral, Email marketing graphics, social media graphics, Videos, Image resizing and retouching, and Inspiration research.
  • Multi-Platform Conversion: Adapt content for various platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills - Required:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Competency with Mac OS and Microsoft Windows.
  • Strong HTML development and design skills, including HTML5 (hand coding) and CSS3.
  • Strong social media reels creation/video editing, AI App insights and usage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong layout and typography skills.
  • Outstanding time management abilities.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and follow directions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of higher education in a digital design-centric program or equivalent certifications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with creative and management teams.
  • Familiarity with the cruise travel industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possessat least a Bachelor’s/College Degreein Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years travel-related accounts and/or Digital Marketing Agency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience creating one-page online flyers and email marketing materials.
  • Knowledge of coding for mobile-responsive web pages.
  • Experience in creating email marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and word editors (Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace preferred).
