About the role
Diliman Doctors Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Medical Services Officer to join our healthcare administration team on a full-time basis. This position is based in Quezon City, Metro Manila and represents a key role in ensuring seamless coordination between clinical services and administrative operations.As a Medical Services Officer, you will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of patient care and hospital operations that define our institution. This role bridges the gap between medical staff and management, ensuring that all healthcare services are delivered efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
Physician Coordination and Liaison- Serve as the primary point of contact for consultants, specialists, and attending physicians.
- Coordinate physician concerns, requests, and administrative requirements with relevant hospital departments.
- Facilitate communication between medical staff and hospital management.
- Monitor physician compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in resolving operational issues affecting physicians and patient care services.
- Support physician credentialing, privileging, reappointment, and accreditation processes.
- Maintain updated records of physicians' licenses, certifications, memberships, and practice privileges.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation of newly affiliated physicians.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to medical staff activities.
- Organize Medical Staff meetings, departmental conferences, and committee meetings.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items.
- Monitor implementation of decisions and recommendations from medical committees.
- Coordinate physician schedules, duty rosters, and on-call coverage as required.
- Assist in planning and implementation of medical services programs and projects.
- Collaborate with Nursing, Ancillary Services, Quality Management, and other departments to address physician-related operational concerns.
- Support hospital accreditation activities involving the medical staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Hospital Administration, or related field.
- Experience in hospital administration, medical affairs, physician relations, or healthcare operations is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, hospital executives, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and hospital information systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and hospital accreditation standards is an advantage.
