We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. In this role, you will supervise a team of accountants, manage month-end processes, and support compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, in-depth accounting knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate performance of accounting staff.
- Recommend improvements to existing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and support overall business goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification is preferred).
- Proven experience (typically 3–5+ years) in accounting, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
