Logistics supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day logistics, warehousing, inventory, and transport operations within the assigned branch or area. This role ensures that delivery operations are executed efficiently, stocks are handled accurately, and company logistics standards are consistently implemented in alignment with Wellmade Manufacturing Corporation’s operational objectives.

The position supports the Logistics Head in achieving on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries, inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and fleet optimization.

1. Logistics & Distribution Operations

• Supervise daily dispatch, routing, and delivery scheduling to ensure timely and complete deliveries to customers and branches.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve delivery issues in coordination with Sales and Production.
• Ensure compliance with established logistics SOPs and company policies.
• Validate delivery documents (DR, SI, trip tickets, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.
• Escalate operational issues affecting service level performance to the Logistics Head.

1. Warehousing Supervision & Process Implementation

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, and loading.
• Ensure proper stock handling, FIFO/FEFO implementation, and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and security.
• Monitor adherence to standardized warehouse procedures across the branch.
• Conduct regular toolbox meetings and operational briefings to reinforce discipline and process compliance.

1. Inventory Control & Monitoring

• Supervise cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
• Ensure accurate recording of stock movements and timely reconciliation of variances.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements with Supply Chain.
• Implement preventive measures to minimize stock-outs, overstocking, damages, and pilferage.
• Report inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

1. Transport & Fleet Supervision

• Supervise scheduling and deployment of delivery vehicles and drivers.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and trip performance.
• Ensure drivers comply with safety protocols, company policies, and government transport regulations.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair scheduling of fleet units.
• Recommend route improvements to optimize delivery efficiency and cost control.

1. Team Leadership & Discipline Management

• Supervise warehouse staff, dispatch personnel, drivers, and helpers.
• Monitor daily attendance, productivity, and performance of team members.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to improve operational competence.
• Implement corrective action when necessary in coordination with HR and the Logistics Head.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

1. Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports including:
• Delivery performance (OTIF)
• Inventory variances
• Warehouse productivity
• Fleet utilization
• Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of logistics transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and safety regulations.
• Support internal and external audit requirements when necessary.
