Job Description:
We are seeking a Level 1 Technical Support Specialist to provide frontline IT support across the business. This role focuses on day-to-day technical assistance, helping staff resolve common IT issues, and ensuring systems and devices operate smoothly.
The role plays an important part in delivering responsive and reliable support while helping maintain a stable and efficient IT environment for the team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level IT support to staff via helpdesk, phone, email, or chat
- Troubleshoot common technical issues, including hardware, software, connectivity, and user access
- Set up and configure laptops, devices, and system access for new employees
- Support Microsoft 365, email, and common business applications
- Assist with password resets, user account management, and permissions
- Log, track, and manage support tickets to ensure timely resolution
- Escalate more complex technical issues to senior IT support when required
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets such as laptops and equipment
- Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge base articles
- Provide clear and friendly support to staff with varying levels of technical knowledge
Qualifications and requirements:
Nice to Have- Experience supporting remote or distributed teams
- Exposure to cloud-based business applications
- Familiarity with device management or endpoint security tools
Non-negotiable skills and requirements:
- 2 years' experience in an IT Helpdesk or Technical Support role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, connectivity issues)
- Experience using ticketing or helpdesk systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectively
