What is the job?
The Tier 1 Service Desk Specialist focuses on timely issue resolution, accurate documentation, and delivering a high-quality customer support experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provides first-line IT support via desk-side, remote, and local services.
- Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and workstation issues.
- Logs, tracks, and updates incidents using a ticketing system.
- Performs root-cause analysis and escalates issues as needed.
- Installs, configures, and maintains PCs, peripherals, and basic network access.
- Documents solutions, updates knowledge base, and ensures compliance with policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT support, service desk, or technical support roles.
- Experience handling inbound customer requests or issue resolution.
- Proficient in desktop and workstation support for Windows environments.
- Familiar with ticketing systems and IT service management workflows.
