Australian Company Accountant (Odoo - WFH) w/ Sign-on Bonus

About the Role
As an Australian Company Accountant, you will manage the full financial function, including reporting, payroll, reconciliations, and compliance, while optimising processes within the Odoo system to deliver accurate and efficient financial operations.
Ideal Candidate (Must-Have Requirements)- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in Australian Senior Accounting roles, managing end-to-end financial functions
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, financial reporting, and month-end processes
- Experience handling BAS, GST, and international tax reporting
- Proficiency in Odoo or similar accounting systems, with strong Excel skills
- Experience managing payroll across Australia and international jurisdictions
- Strong knowledge of reconciliations across bank accounts, AR, AP, general ledger, and payroll
- Experience working with auditors and supporting audit requirements
- Preferably with exposure to multinational environments, inventory, or manufacturing accounting
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work within monthly reporting cycles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and reporting
- Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative team player who can work in a fast-paced environment

- Manage financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements and accrual accounting
- Handle BAS, GST, and international tax reporting requirements
- Deliver month-end tasks such as journals, allocations, prepayments, and provisions
- Liaise with external auditors and accountants for audits and annual tax requirements
- Oversee import, export, FX transactions, and intercompany charges
- Prepare budget data and monitor expenditure against targets
- Manage bank accounts, credit cards, and expense claims
- Perform monthly reconciliations across bank accounts, AR, AP, general ledger, and payroll
- Process and manage payroll across Australia and international entities
- Manage accounts receivable including invoicing, collections, and customer records
- Oversee supplier payments, expense processing, and accounts payable reconciliation
- Maintain accurate records within the Odoo system
- Maintain asset registers, inventory ledgers, and depreciation schedules
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Support the CFO with reporting, analysis, and administrative requirements
