The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for supporting procurement activities by assisting with sourcing, purchasing, and coordination of materials, equipment, and services required for workshop and site operations. The role works closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure timely purchasing, accurate documentation, and efficient coordination with suppliers to support operational requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of any bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Diploma or relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics may be considered.
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement support, or administrative roles in industrial or workshop environments is desirable.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, quotations, and purchase order management.
- Familiarity with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and procurement documentation.
- Basic knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment used in workshop or industrial operations is advantageous.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
