Role description:
This role delivers end‑to‑end civil design services for urban development, ensuring high‑quality outputs across global offices through effective coordination, implementation, and technical support. Responsibilities include managing design and documentation, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining compliance with standards and best practices.By driving technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, the role supports successful project delivery while contributing to efficiency and quality across all stages.
Role accountabilities:
- Deliver medium to complex civil design services, ensuring alignment with programme, quality, budget, and safety objectives.
- Apply constructability expertise and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize design integration and construction outcomes.
- Ensure deliverables comply with BIM standards (ISO 19650, EIR, BEP) and data center requirements, following Arcadis processes and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff, supporting skills development and team growth.
- Implement standardized calculations, workflows, digital tools, and automation to improve efficiency and project delivery.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in urban development and data center projects, with proficiency in BIM platforms and 3D modeling tools.
- Uphold organizational principles, including compliance with business ethics, safety, and professional development frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Civil Engineer; postgraduate studies and ISO 19650 certification are advantageous.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience delivering multi‑disciplinary design and modeling projects using BIM platforms (Civil 3D, ACC, Bluebeam, Dynamo, Inventor, Navisworks, Autodesk Forma).
- Proven track record in urban development projects (roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks) with expertise in data center and urban design standards.
- Strong proficiency in 3D modeling for sewer/foul, electrical, telecom systems, and pressurized pipe networks (potable, fire water, sprinklers).
- Working knowledge of UK, North American, and EU standards, plus familiarity with tools such as InfoDrainage, XPSWMM, Tuflow, 12D Synergy, and EPANET.
- Skilled in implementing digital solutions, BIM workflows, and life cycle assessment principles to enhance project delivery.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, proactive team support, and ability to work independently under pressure.
