Responsible for HR functions related to talent acquisition and retention. Assists the Director of Human Resources in the formulation and implementation of HR policies and the identification of appropriate interventions and projects that will promote employee well-being and a healthy work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Recruitment
- Identify, source and screen candidates for the manpower requirements of the different departments/operating sections of the hotel.
- Continuously review, improve and update possible manpower sources to ensure quality of candidates for hotel job openings.
- Monitor and analyze manpower requirements of the Hotel. Ensure that manning is kept within approved budget.
- Maintain accurate file of employment contracts and records of all employees.
- Ensure compliance to local and government regulations pertaining to employment practice.
- Identify and implement activities that will promote inter-department collaboration.
- Ensure implementation of safety, security and wellness program for all employees.
- Conduct periodic survey of employees’ perception with the end in view of identifying appropriate employee relations programs and other motivational, teambuilding and culture building initiatives.
- Manage the administration of the Performance Appraisal program
- Ensure proper trace of employment status and corresponding probationary periods.
- Prepare consolidated report on Performance Appraisal (PA) highlights as input to TNA and/or succession planning decisions.
- Conduct training on the hotel’s Performance Appraisal instrument.
- Ensure compliance with Hotel policies and procedures.
- Represent the Human Resources Department in administrative hearings.
- Maintain updated records of employees’ disciplinary record/s as reference for personnel action on promotions and/or transfers.
- Monitor present and future trends in labor legislation.
- Monitor administration of approved salaries and wages budget.
- Propose adjustment/s in basic pay in conformance to approved Wage Order for the region, taking into account possible distortion in pay structure.
- Ensure competitiveness of the hotel’s salary and benefits package with current industry practice/s by periodic conduct of compensation and benefits survey and/or benchmarking.
- Prepare annual HR budget for review and approval.
- Review monthly P&L of Human Resources and prepare justification/s for deviation/s of actual vs budgeted expense.
- Identify and implement measures to address deviations in actual vs. budgeted expense.
- Ensure implementation of core programs for staff development.
- Identify external programs/experts to support internal capabilities for employees’ training, while ensuring that training expense is kept within approved budget.
- Ensure that employees meet the required training hours as determined by set goals.
- Ensure maintenance and updating of employee records/files, legal documents, policies and procedures manual and other Human Resources documents.
- Ensure timely submission of periodic reports for Management’s use such as employee turnover, personnel headcount, accident reports, salary scales, etc.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the HR Director and/or the Hotel/Resident Manager.
- Ensure Hotel’s compliance to government and legal mandates.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)
