Senior Sales Engineer

You'll make a difference by:

  • Identifying and developing business opportunities for Protection & Automation (PA), SCADA / Digital Substation, and Medium Voltage (MV) Primary & Secondary Distribution solutions.
  • Managing the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and customer engagement to technical scoping, tender support, negotiation, and order closing.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with consultants, EPCs, utilities, industrial, CPG, and other key customer segments.
  • Conducting customer visits, technical discussions, and solution presentations to influence specifications and position competitive offerings.
  • Interpreting customer requirements, SLDs, protection philosophies, and MV system layouts to ensure compliant and optimized solutions.
  • Collaborating with Tendering and Engineering teams to develop competitive proposals and providing complete sales handovers (scope, BOM, pricing strategy, competitor insights).
  • Supporting tender clarifications, bid evaluations, technical negotiations, and managing sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements to drive strategic account growth.

Your defining qualities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in PA, SCADA, MV switchgear, or technical sales within electrification and automation environments.
  • Strong understanding of MV distribution systems, protection schemes, and automation architectures.
  • Ability to interpret SLDs, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and system architectures.
  • Strong technical selling capability with negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and able to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred); AutoCAD/Visio viewing capability is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in PA, SCADA, MV switchgear, or technical sales within electrification and automation environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
