About the role

As a Store Crew member, you will be at the heart of our business, ensuring our customers enjoy a welcoming shopping experience whilst our store remains clean, well-organised, and fully stocked with fresh bakery products.

1. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering enquiries, and assisting them with their purchases
2. Operate the point of sale system accurately and efficiently, processing payments and handling cash transactions
3. Stock shelves and display cases with bakery products, ensuring items are arranged neatly and rotated according to expiry dates
4. Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the store, including counters, shelves, floors, and display areas in accordance with food safety standards
5. Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries of bakery products and stock
6. Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items to management
7. Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary
8. Support promotional activities and displays as directed by store management
9. Comply with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times

1. Previous experience in retail or customer service is highly desirable, though we welcome applications from enthusiastic candidates willing to learn
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues
3. Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work full-time hours including weekends and public holidays as required
4. Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items, and perform repetitive tasks
5. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
6. Basic numeracy skills and comfort with using point of sale systems or willingness to train
7. Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment
8. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully
