Job Description

The Assistant Learning and Development Officer supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of training and development initiatives that enhance employee performance and professional growth. The role assists in organizing learning programs, maintaining training records, coordinating onboarding activities, and ensuring the efficient delivery of learning and development initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting training needs assessments and coordinating learning initiatives.
  • Support the planning, scheduling, and implementation of training programs, workshops, and seminars.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, and learning resources.
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and employee learning databases.
  • Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and preparing post-training reports.
  • Coordinate with department heads, facilitators, and external training providers.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory and regulatory training requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for employee development and organizational learning initiatives.
  • Perform other learning and development-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in Learning and Development, Human Resources, Training, or a related field. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of training coordination, employee onboarding, and learning administration.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills are an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Willing to work onsite at SMX Convention Center Seaside Cebu and support learning and development initiatives across departments.
