Job Title: Waitress / Waiter
Job Overview:
The waitress is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a good understanding of food and beverage menus, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and Seating Guests:
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
- Guide guests to their tables and present menus.
Taking Orders:
- Take food and drink orders accurately.
- Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations as needed.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
Serving Food and Beverages:
- Serve food and beverages promptly and in a professional manner.
- Ensure that orders are delivered correctly and address any issues or changes.
Checking on Guests:
- Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals.
- Address any concerns or special requests promptly and efficiently.
Handling Transactions:
- Process payments, including cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Provide change and receipts as needed.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Keep tables, chairs, and the dining area clean and organized.
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables.
Collaborating with Team:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist colleagues with tasks during busy periods.
Complying with Health and Safety Standards:
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Adhere to restaurant policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints or special requests.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in taking orders and delivering them.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
Experience and Education:
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not always required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Training may be provided on the job.
Willing to be assigned in BF Homes Parañaque.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced restaurant or café setting.
- May involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
