Billing Specialist
About the Role
VDA is a premier vertical transportation consultancy providing expert elevator and escalator design, inspection, and management services worldwide.
We're looking for a Billing Specialist who will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing process. You will be responsible for generating invoices, processing payments, and maintaining financial records to support the company’s revenue cycle.This role involves collaborating with various departments to resolve discrepancies and providing exceptional customer service to clients regarding their accounts. By meticulously managing billing operations, you will directly contribute to the financial health of the organization and ensure all activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction or A&E firms a plus
- Experience with Lump Sum billing, Percentage of Completion billing, Consulting billing is preferred
- Experience with billing software, client portals and financial management systems.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and issue accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Process incoming payments and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain detailed records of billing transactions and client communications.
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding billing and payment status.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
