Purchasing Officer

Job description:

• Formulate, review, and update sourcing plans and strategies covering purchase of items from both local and foreign suppliers.
• Ensure continuous supply of materials and services to meet the long- and short-term requirements of the Company
• Negotiate and contract supply of required products and materials consistent with established standards of quality, cost and service
• Ensure timely release of imported products to avoid any disruption as well as ensure that freight and other related costs in releasing goods are maintained at the lowest level
• Ensure accurate and timely receipt and recording of all incoming shipments to the warehouses
• Continuously monitor, report and act on global supply situations that may affect availability, price, lead time, and development of new products and technology
• Check and verify items withdrawn and issued from the warehouses for delivery to the customers
• Ensure that inventory cards are always maintained for all SKUs in the warehouse and inventory balances available
• Supervise cycle counts together with Audit strictly according to cycle count schedule in each warehouse

• Graduate of any Bachelor’s/College degree
• Minimum of 3 years in procurement and importation role
• Knowledge of import procedures, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity in ERP software (e.g. MS Business Central, SAP)
• Positive, can-do attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Good communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Willing to work Monday to Saturday
