Duties:

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring goods and services for the company
  • Handling documentation for import and export transactions, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery
  • Manage purchase orders and monitor the status of shipments
  • Track and maintain inventory levels, ensuring stock availability
  • Support the importation process, including liaising with customs and handling documentation
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and company policies
  • Assist with preparing reports and documentation related to purchasing and import activities
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchase transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer in a food industry
  • Have experience and knowledge in importation processes and customs regulations
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office and purchasing software
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
