Interior/Architectural Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Conceptual Design Development:

• Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand design briefs, functional requirements, and the desired aesthetic for each project.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, and 3D models to present design concepts that align with the client’s vision.
• Prepare multiple design options and iterate based on client feedback.

Technical Drawing & Documentation:

• Produce detailed architectural and interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Create technical documentation for materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture selections.
• Ensure that all design plans comply with building codes, safety regulations, and zoning laws.

Client & Team Collaboration:

• Attend client meetings to present design concepts and revisions, clearly communicating design rationale and updates.
• Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, consultants, and vendors to ensure the seamless integration of design elements into construction.
• Maintain consistent communication with the project management team to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Material & Product Selection:

• Research and specify appropriate materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) based on design intent, sustainability, cost, and client preferences.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to source samples and endorse procurement processes.

Project Oversight & Implementation:

• Supervise the design implementation on-site, ensuring construction quality aligns with design specifications.
• Address any issues or modifications during construction by providing design clarifications and alternative solutions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Design Trends & Innovation:

• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technology advancements in architecture and interior design.
• Incorporate sustainable design principles and innovative solutions into project proposals.
