Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks, kitchen assistants, and other kitchen staff.
- Ensure food preparation and presentation meet restaurant quality standards and recipes.
- Monitor food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Schedule and assign duties to kitchen employees.
- Train, coach, and evaluate kitchen staff performance.
- Assist in menu preparation and implementation of new dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate food and supply orders.
- Minimize food waste and control kitchen costs.
- Inspect food deliveries to ensure quality and freshness.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food products (FIFO).
- Address operational issues and resolve staff concerns during shifts.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
