Engineering - Quantity Surveyor
Company Overview
We are a growing telecommunications solutions provider in the Philippines specializing in network infrastructure, fiber optic deployment, and telecom construction services. We are looking for highly motivated and detail-oriented professionals to join our team and support project delivery across various telecom sites nationwide.
Position Summary
The Engineering Officer (also known as Quantity Surveyor / Estimator) will be responsible for project cost estimation, quantity take-offs, technical evaluation, and assisting in the planning and execution of telecom infrastructure projects. The role ensures that projects are delivered within budget, compliant with technical specifications, and aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets for telecom infrastructure projects (fiber optic, tower installation, civil works, etc.)
- Perform quantity take-offs based on plans, drawings, and technical specifications
- Review and analyze project plans, scope, and bill of materials (BOM)
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for cost-efficient solutions
- Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure budget compliance
- Assist in tender preparation, bid submission, and contract documentation
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing when necessary
- Prepare progress reports, cost reports, and variation orders
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronics, or related field)
- With at least 1–3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, estimation, or telecom-related projects (fresh graduates with strong academic background may also apply)
- Experience in telecom projects (fiber optic rollout, tower works, OSP/ISP projects) is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction costing, BOQ preparation, and project estimation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and/or other estimation tools
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with telecom standards (PLDT, Globe, Smart, DITO projects)
- Experience in contract management or project management
- Knowledge in Excel, SAP, Primavera, Google Sheet or similar systems
