Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – US Residential Projects with a strong US quantity surveying background supporting US projects. This is a remote, independent contractor role supporting a US-based construction and development company.
The role focuses on quantity surveying and cost estimation, ensuring accurate cost planning, BOQ preparation, and effective bid and tender execution for US projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quantity surveying and estimation work for US residential construction projects
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies
- Support tendering, bidding, and pricing strategies
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify cost risks, variations, and value engineering opportunities
- Collaborate remotely with US-based project teams
- Maintain cost databases and benchmarking data
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in US or UK construction projects, preferably in residential
- Strong expertise in quantity surveying functions
- Solid understanding of US construction methods, documentation, and commercial practices
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency in QS tools
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen
- Ability to work independently in a remote contractor setup
