Civil engineer (general)

Job Description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities on site, including excavation, embankments, drainage systems, retaining walls, concrete works, and utility layouts.
• Coordinate with the Project-In-Charge to ensure work progress aligns with the project timeline and quality standards.
• Ensure implementation of design plans, blueprints, and technical drawings in field operations.
• Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment allocation for civil tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare daily activity reports, progress updates, and incident logs for submission to the Project-In-Charge.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for the timely delivery of materials and services.
• Identify issues or deviations and propose corrective actions to prevent delays or rework.
• Assist in conducting site measurements and quantity take-offs for civil work components.
• Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations throughout the site.

Qualifications/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related technical course (licensed preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil works supervision, preferably in golf course, landscape, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, materials, and standards.
• Physically fit and willing to work in field conditions for extended periods.
