Job description
Payroll Assistant Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Associate degree may be acceptable with relevant experience.
- Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing, accounting, or HR support (preferred but not always required).
- Fresh graduates with strong academic background may also be considered.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with payroll systems/software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (especially formulas for payroll computation).
- Basic understanding of government contributions (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, BIR) and labor laws related to payroll.
- Key Competencies:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive payroll information with integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to company-specific payroll processes.
