Credit investigator

Job Description

• Responsible for the evaluation of the credit worthiness of the borrower
• Conducts investigation regarding borrowers’ credit history, standing of the business, residence / neighborhood checking, reference contacts, due diligence as to assets, property, etc.
• Acquires financial data relevant to the investigation being conducted
• Examines/appraises collateral and chattel units (if any)
• Prepares necessary credit investigation reports
• Makes appropriate recommendation, either approval or denial of the loan application.

Evaluates borrower creditworthiness by conducting credit investigations, verifying financial and personal information, assessing collateral, and preparing reports with recommendations for loan approval or denial.

Qualifications/Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: -Graduate of any four-year course

• Has good communication skills (written and oral), administrative skills and interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent attention to details
• Has the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Resourceful, organized, proactive and systematic
• Willing to do field work
• No work-related experience required for this position
• Motorized Credit Investigator is an advantage
• Computer-proficient
