Healthcare Collections Associate | Pioneer team

We are seeking a detail oriented and result driven Healthcare Collections Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding patient and insurance balances, ensuring timely follow-up, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, persistence, and a solid understanding of medical billing and collections processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up on unpaid insurance claims and patient balances in a timely manner
• Review accounts to identify discrepancies, denials, or underpayments
• Contact insurance companies and patients to resolve outstanding balances
• Negotiate payment plans when necessary while maintaining professionalism
• Document all collection activities accurately in the system
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations
• Collaborate with billing, coding, and customer service teams to resolve issues
• Meet or exceed collection targets and performance metrics

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare collections in a BPO Set up
• Familiarity with insurance claims processing (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts efficiently
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
