As General Manager for Operations, you will lead and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials from sourcing to market delivery. Your role is to drive cost-effective strategies, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure seamless processes that meet market demands.

We’re looking for a candidate with a strong background in managing dynamic, high-volume supply chains, ideally within consumer goods, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to our company’s growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady flow of quality materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance to support production and delivery timelines.

Inventory Optimization:

  • Implement inventory strategies to balance stock availability with cost-effectiveness.
  • Use data-driven methods to manage stock levels in line with demand forecasts.

Demand Forecasting and Planning:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance departments to create accurate demand forecasts.
  • Adapt inventory and production plans to seasonal trends, promotions, and market shifts.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize transportation and distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective product delivery.
  • Manage distribution channels to support quick turnaround times.

Production Scheduling:

  • Plan production cycles in alignment with inventory levels and sales forecasts.
  • Work with manufacturing to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, including supply disruptions and fluctuating demand.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to safeguard against interruptions.

Process Improvement and Cost Optimization:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Attend relevant training and seminars to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Regularly analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Sustainability and Compliance:

  • Lead efforts to integrate sustainable practices, including waste reduction and responsible sourcing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.

Employee Training and Mentorship:

  • Train, mentor, and guide team members on best practices in supply chain processes, reinforcing safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Monitor safety compliance, report any accidents or injuries, and ensure that proper treatment protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Proven background in FMCG supply chain management, handling high-volume operations.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain roles, preferably in FMCG.
  • CSCP or CPIM certification is preferred.
  • Expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Skilled in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership in managing teams, driving strategy, and optimizing supply chain performance.
