Job Summary

Alorica is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our Cebu site. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in facilities management, preferably in a BPO environment, and a strong background in general building maintenance and engineering operations (without necessarily holding a professional license).

You will ensure that the site remains safe, comfortable, and fully operational for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily facilities operations: Oversee maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building upkeep.
  • Manage facilities team: Lead a team of facilities staff, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews to ensure optimal performance.
  • Vendor and contractor management: Coordinate with external contractors for specialized services, ensuring quality and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Maintenance management: Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs for equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Budget and cost management: Assist in budgeting for facilities operations, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost-efficiency in the maintenance and operations of the site.
  • Emergency preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and safety protocols.
  • Customer service: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding facilities-related concerns and issues.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, service contracts, and equipment inventories. Prepare periodic reports for management.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or any related field.
  • Non-licensed engineers with relevant facilities management experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in facilities management or building operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in BPO facilities management is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Prior experience in managing vendor relations and third-party contractors.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a focus on team management and performance improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations quickly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and OSHA compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other facilities management software (e.g., CAFM systems) is a plus.
