About the role
Pacifica Homes Development Corporation is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in a hybrid role based in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient acquisition of materials, services, and equipment required for our operations.As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing our procurement processes to support the company's strategic objectives and maintain competitive advantage in the real estate development sector.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Ensure the due diligence are complied with for shortlist bidders.
- Communicates and coordinates with the end-user/requisitioner regarding request based on the Purchase Requisitions, if needed.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of bid documents, parameters, measures, deadlines before bid opening.
- Ensure compliance to Procurement and Bids policies and procedures.
- Implement and lead an objective bid clarification meetings.
- Submit accurate bid tabulation, analysis and recommendation for bid committee’s approval.
- Provide the optimal recommendation on contracts for award guided by the principles and awarding criterion set by the company.
- Ensure completeness of contract documents for execution.
- Arranges delivery schedules
- Endorse the contract documents to Construction Cost Management and Construction Operation Department for execution.
- Endorse the awarded list of Owner Supplied materials to Materials Management Team for proper storage and issuance to Contractors.
- Support the business goals through achievement of targets within the targeted timeline and within the budgeted cost.
- Establish and manage a systematic archiving and safe keeping of all bidding and awarding documents
- Search, develop and maintain credible and dependable pool of vendors and contractors while adhering to the plans and procurement strategies of the company.
- Regularly updates cost / rate data,
- Monitors the materials fluctuations
- Research / recommends equivalent or alternative materials for value engineering
- Ensure high standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in dealing and negotiating with external and internal parties.
- Engage with the company initiatives of continuous process improvements to promote efficiency, harmony and work-life balance.
- Assist the Procurement and Bids Section Manager in creation and management of annual operational budget of Procurement department.
- Excellent time management, project management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Commercial and financial acumen
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Proven analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Task-oriented leadership
- College Graduate of Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any relevant engineering courses (licensed engineer a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in procurement, bidding and awarding in the Real Estate industry
- Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in quantity surveying
