II. JOB PURPOSE
Prepares and serves quality premium beverage and food items in accordance to the standard set forth. The Barista fulfills overall customer journey thru exercising qualitative customer service and maximizing store’s sales potential by pushing the store’s inventory.The Barista also receives and transact payments of the customers and ensures the security of the Company’s fund and sales.
KEY RESULTS AREAS WITH SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Knowledge and Quality- Develops an understanding of coffee and the various differences in flavor and blends that different roasting and brewing methods produce.
- Builds and serve beverages by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques to maintain the highest quality and consistent product standards.
- Releases the beverages in accordance to the standard serving time
- Ensures that cup marks are correct to avoid erroneous beverage dispatched to the customers
- Generates sales by attracting new customers and defining new and expanded services and products, as well as upselling items ordered by the customers.
- Practices offering complementary bites to the customer beverages
- Promotes seasonal/new releases beverage, bites etc.
- Offers and promotes the PICKUP app and other merchandises exclusive on app
- Practices and maintains the store cleanliness and orderliness Inside including, mixing bar, dispatching area, cashier area, syrup station sink, etc and outside the store vicinity
- Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of machines and equipment of the store such as espresso machine, sealing machine, coffee grinder, measuring cups, milk pitcher, etc.
- Maintains a sustainable amount of syrup and back ups to ensure the availability and smooth flow of building a beverage
- Replenish merchandises such as bites, cups, and packaging supplies, coffee beans
- Ensures that store machineries such as espresso machines, coffee grinders, fructose dispenser is calibrated and programmed all the time
- Aid marketing promotions of event Implementations
- Performs opening and closing checklist efficiently
- Updates the availability of the product on the aggregators and Barista app
- Ensures that the aggregators are always available to maximize the store sales potential
- Performs proper turnover of store keys to the opening or closing team member
- Receives and counter check the delivery of raw materials and bites vs delivery receipts
- Practice first expiry first out (FEFO) system to minimize the wastage of raw materials
- Dispose expired raw materials
- Monitors all cups sold/used through cups monitoring, barista drink sheet and tally sheet.
- Physically counts the inventory of raw materials and bites to ensure that there are no missing items
- Provides excellent customer journey through customer service
- Greets the customers with a smile
- Pays attention to the customers
- Repeats the order and acknowledge the customer's payment before successfully punching
- Get the name of the customer and guide where can they get their orders
- Thank the customers with a smile and invite them back to the store
- Builds rapport to the customers by initiating engagements to determine their food and beverage Interests and needs.
- Handles and manage customer complaints and objections smoothly.
- Practice first in first out of orders
- Receives payments of the customers
- Ensures the correctness of every transaction on the POS/Mosaic
- Issues POS or manual receipts to the customers
- Performs legitimate discounts for PWDs, Senior Citizens etc
- Ensures that legitimateness of the bills that the customers are paying
- Manages, handles and safe keeps company funds such as petty cash funds and change funds
- Generate x read and z read from the POS system
- Updates the books of accounts according to the daily sales
- Regularly check the expiration of the raw materials and bites before using or releasing
- Checks the beverage before sealing and ensures that there is no dirt, insects, unidentified objects etc
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Safe keep all stores equipment, tools, devices, etc
- Performs other tasks or specific functions may assigned by the immediate superior and/or Management
- Reports potential safety hazards, employee accidents and any operational inconsistencies to the manager.
- Run errands, when needed, to pick up supplies and/or product
- Works on special events, as needed
