Office Engineer
Act as a key role in coordinating between the site execution team and the DPWH implementing office to ensure timely submission of deliverables, proper documentation of accomplishments, and effective monitoring of project progress.
Ensures that all project records, including drawings, reports, billing documents, and correspondence, are properly prepared, verified, and systematically maintained. Supports the preparation of progress billings, quantity computations, variation orders, and other contractual requirements, while assisting in schedule monitoring, QA/QC documentation, and project close-out activities.
Works closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Planning Engineer, QA/QC team, and Quantity Surveyor to ensure all technical and financial data are accurate, complete, and aligned with project objectives and DPWH regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, reviews, and submits all project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence in compliance with DPWH standards and contract requirements.
- Computes and validates actual work quantities based on approved plans and site measurements for use in billing and progress reporting.
- Prepares progress billings, Statement of Work Accomplished (SWA), and supporting documents for payment claims.
- Assists in the preparation of variation orders, cost adjustments, and time extension claims with proper technical justification and documentation.
- Maintains a complete and systematic document control system for all project records, including contracts, test results, inspection reports, and approvals.
- Coordinates with site engineers, quantity surveyors, and planning engineers to ensure accurate project data and consistent reporting.
- Monitors project progress versus the approved schedule and assists in preparing updated schedules and delay analyses.
- Ensures compliance with QA/QC documentation requirements, including material approvals, test reports, and inspection records.
- Acts as liaison with DPWH engineers and project stakeholders for timely submission and resolution of technical and documentary requirements.
- Assists in project close-out activities, including final billing, punch list documentation, as-built drawings, and turnover requirements for DPWH acceptance, and performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Project Manager or his authorized representative.
