JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Engineer/ Operations Manager is a key member of the Operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth execution and monitoring of multiple sites activities. This includes scheduling, conducting site inspections, overseeing site personnel, materials, equipment, and maintaining safety standards.

The role involves detailed monitoring of daily work accomplishments, project logs, and quality control through testing and inspection.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Scheduling and Monitoring: Plan and oversee the daily scheduling of site activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans and safety standards.
  • Daily Monitoring: Supervise daily operations, including personnel, materials, equipment, and safety measures.
  • Work Accomplishments and Documentation: Monitor and document daily work achievements, maintaining a detailed project log with geotagged pictures.
  • Quality Monitoring: Perform material testing and inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Review of Work Plans: Examine all items of work through the task plan and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Report Evaluation: Review and evaluate daily and weekly site reports for accuracy and progress.
  • Material Management: Handle material requests and follow up on pending materials.
  • Project Completion Tasks: Monitor and manage remaining works, corrections, and repairs for project turnover.
  • Client Coordination: Maintain effective communication and coordination with clients regarding project updates and issues.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
 A.  Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A Master's degree in a related field can be an advantage.
  • License: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or other relevant certifications can be beneficial.
 B.  Working Experience
  • 8-10 years of experience in the field, with a significant portion of that experience in a leadership or management capacity.
 C.  Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Attitude)
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in engineering principles and practices, particularly in the relevant field (e.g., construction, manufacturing).
  • Project Management: Ability to plan, schedule, and manage complex projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with team members, management, and external stakeholders.

  • Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of and commitment to workplace safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

  4. Efficiency in Resource Management: Effective use and management of materials, equipment, and personnel.
  5. Client Satisfaction: Feedback or ratings from clients regarding the engineer's performance and communication.
  6. Inspection and Audit Results: Outcomes of regular site inspections and audits, focusing on compliance with operational standards.
  7. Problem Resolution Efficiency: Timeliness and effectiveness in resolving operational issues.
  8. Report Accuracy and Timeliness: Regularity and precision in submitting project logs, daily/weekly reports, and other documentation.
