About the role
As a Technical Buyer at Millennium Specialty Coco Products, Inc., you will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring the specialised materials and equipment required to support the company's manufacturing operations. This full-time, on-site position in Panabo City Davao del Norte is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise and purchasing skills to drive the continued success of this leading manufacturer.
What you'll be doing- Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers of raw materials, components, machinery and other specialised items needed for production
- Negotiating favourable pricing, delivery terms and quality assurance with suppliers
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as engineering and production teams, to understand technical requirements and specifications
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships and monitoring performance to ensure timely delivery of high-quality goods
- Analysing market trends, technological developments and supply chain dynamics to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing processes and enhance efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical buying or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Strong technical understanding of materials, components and equipment used in manufacturing processes
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in analysing market data, interpreting technical specifications and managing supplier performance
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing business requirements
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification
