Business Development Manager – Cosmetics

The Senior Business Development Manager – Cosmetics is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and developing high-value partnerships within the beauty and personal care industry. This role leads end-to-end business development initiatives, identifies new revenue opportunities, and works closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to strengthen brand positioning and accelerate commercial performance.

Minimum 5-7 years of business development experience is required for this strategic role.

A Bachelor's degree is essential for this senior management position.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Business Development
  • Develop and execute long-term business growth strategies for cosmetics and beauty product lines
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including retail, e-commerce, and international expansion
  • Lead market entry strategies for new product launches and geographic expansion
  1. Partnership & Key Account Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key retailers, distributors, and strategic partners
  • Negotiate high-value commercial agreements and long-term partnerships
  • Manage relationships with major accounts, ensuring sustained revenue growth and satisfaction
  1. Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Drive revenue targets across assigned product categories and regions
  • Analyze sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales teams to optimize distribution channels and pricing strategies
  1. Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis
  • Monitor beauty industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior
  • Provide actionable insights to inform product development and marketing strategies
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new product concepts and innovations
  1. Cross-functional Leadership
  • Work closely with marketing teams to align brand positioning and campaigns with business goals
  • Collaborate with product development teams on innovation pipelines
  • Support supply chain and operations teams to ensure market demand is met efficiently
  1. Team Leadership & Development
  • Mentor and guide junior business development staff or coordinators
  • Set performance targets and ensure alignment with company objectives
  • Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5–8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management in cosmetics, beauty, or FMCG
  • Strong understanding of the cosmetics and personal care industry landscape
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with retail, e-commerce, and international markets is an advantage
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience specifically within the cosmetics or beauty industry is required.
