About the role
Radtelcom Technologies Corporation is seeking a Finance and Accounting Specialist to join our growing finance team. This is a full-time position based in Davao City, Davao del Sur. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping functions, and supporting the overall financial health of our organisation.You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing financial insights to support business decision-making. This position is integral to our finance operations and will have a direct impact on the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.
Key responsibilities- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including payment processing and collection activities
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Support the audit process by maintaining organised financial documentation and records
- Monitor and categorise business expenses to ensure accurate cost allocation
- Assist with payroll processing and verification of payroll records
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures and applicable regulations
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review and decision-making
- Support tax preparation activities and ensure timely filing of tax-related documents
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial queries and discrepancies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role within a small to medium-sized organisation
- Proficiency with accounting software and general ledger systems; experience with cloud-based accounting platforms is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and basic financial analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create reports and perform financial calculations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Sound understanding of confidentiality and data security principles
- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or relevant accounting qualifications is preferred but not essential
