ACCOUNTING ANALYST
About the role
WRN Health Incorporated is seeking a talented Accounting Analyst to join our finance team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, analysing accounting data, and supporting the organisation's financial reporting requirements.As an Accounting Analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to informed financial decision-making across the company.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and analysis tasks that directly impact the accuracy and integrity of our financial information. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, reviewing and reconciling financial statements and ledger accounts
- Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances and discrepancies
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Conducting variance analysis and preparing explanations for management review
- Compiling and organising financial documentation for audits and regulatory requirements
- Processing journal entries and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Preparing reports and presentations on financial performance and metrics
- Supporting the development and improvement of accounting processes and controls
- Collaborating with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
What we're looking for
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (such as CPA or equivalent) or demonstrated progress towards obtaining one
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in accounting analysis or general accounting roles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends in financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting standards
- Proficiency in financial reporting and statement preparation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining strong team collaboration
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Knowledge of healthcare accounting practices would be advantageous
